Biography: Glenn P. Hermes Jr., CHT

Glenn Hermes is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Hyperbaric Oxygen Technologies, Incorporated (HO2Ti), a medical service and management company that provides wound care and hyperbaric medicine services by contract to participating hospitals for the care and treatment of those patients in need of this advanced treatment modality.

Glenn’s 30+ years in the medical field have included a variety of staff and leadership positions including Director of Aerospace Physiology, Course Supervisor for the Air Force’s Hyperbaric Medicine Team Training Program, Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine technician.

His background in hyperbaric medicine began in 1978 and includes working with some of the pioneers of Hyperbaric Medicine while performing his duties at the Jefferson C. Davis Center for Hyperbaric Medicine at Brooks Air Force Base, Texas; and working three years on the clinical staff of the hyperbaric medicine center at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Glenn was involved in some of the initial hyperbaric medicine research and policy and procedure development that set the foundation for hyperbaric medicine treatment still used today.

Prior to Glenn starting HO2Ti; he was most recently, from 1992 until 2004, in Administration at the Osteopathic Medical Center Texas, in Fort Worth Texas. The following departments reported to Glenn; the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center, Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Lab, Quality Management, Central Support Services and the Mail Room.

Glenn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He and his wife Bernadette are current board members of Retrouvaille; a ministry for troubled marriages. Recent awards and nominations include Glenn being elected chair of the Hospital’s director’s group two terms by his peers at OMCT and being named Director of the Year on two occasions.
